The UHI Archaeology Institute is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the above post.
ORCA is a highly active archaeology projects unit housed within Orkney College, part of Orkney Islands Council and the University of the Highlands and Islands. The unit provides a wide range of land-based and marine archaeological services in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland region and beyond.
The Senior Projects Manager will be responsible for the inception and strategic management of ORCA’s commercial, outreach and grant-funded activity. The post holder is required to deliver archaeological contract services from project initiation to dissemination, and overall responsibility for the management of ORCA staff in all aspects of their work and professional development.
The successful applicant will lead and manage all aspects of ORCA’s work and be responsible for the overall initiation, planning, budgetary control, management, co-ordination and safe implementation of a wide variety of projects, with funding from a diverse range of sources.
