As part of the Orkney Energy Heritage Strategy, we’re hosting an event at the Stromness Museum on Saturday, April 5, to gather information on potential sites.
Orkney has a long history of energy production – from the use of traditional fuels such as peat, to the more recent extraction of oil, exploration of uranium and current world-leading renewables industry.
The aim of the museum event is to make sure as many sites as possible are recorded – allowing us to better understand and protect them for the future.
The drop-in session runs from 11am-2pm.
There is no need to book, just turn up on the day.
