Our excavations at Skaill farm have produced a wealth of material covering centuries of activity at the Rousay site.

As part of their project module, two third-year undergraduate students have been looking at some of the assemblage – Milly Wilson focusing on the coarse pottery and Yazzy Qaqundah looking at the iron artefacts.

Supervising the project are Dr Sarah Jane Gibbon and Dr Jen Harland, aided by ceramics specialist Roy Towers, who assisting with the later medieval and post-medieval pottery.
