Yesterday we mentioned the stone artefact that had been incorporated into the walling of the Early Neolithic structure at Spurness, Sanday.
It was recovered today and is pictured above with Paul Clark, senior projects manager at ORCA. Although it bears some resemblance to a prehistoric ard, the jury is out, at present, as to its actual role. (📷 Jane Downes)
