
Associate Professor Jen Harland is north of the Arctic Circle after being invited to speak at the 2026 Svalbard Archaeology Symposium.
The two-day international conference presents current archaeological and cultural heritage research on Svalbard and looks at the archipelago’s past in a broader Arctic perspective.
Representing the TRANSECTS project, Jen’s talk focused on Remnants of Industrial Whaling: The Forgotten Shore Stations of the 19th and Early 20th Centuries.
