On Saturday, November 14, we have a free Oil & Gas Storylines Workshop event in Hull Maritime Museum. Drop in between 10am and 2pm where you can come along, take part in creative activities led by artist Lauren Saunders and share your memories, artefacts, and photos relating to North Sea oil and gas. Light lunch provided.

This will be followed by a walkshop, from 3-4pm, leaving from the museum where we can see some of the sites and sights associated with marine energy past and present – from whale oil to offshore wind.

On Sunday, November 15, we will be thinking about Marine Renewable Energy with a free Renewables Storylines Workshop event in Hull Maritime Museum. Drop in between 11am and 2pm where you can again come along, take part in creative activities led by artist Lauren Saunders and share your memories, artefacts, stories, and photos relating to the Renewable Energy. Light lunch provided.

This will be followed by a walkshop from 3.30-4.30pm leaving from Victoria Dock Village Hall where we can see some of the sites and sights associated with marine energy past and present – from whale oil to offshore wind.

All welcome, at all events or just what you can manage! All are free and there’s no need to book.

If you are unable to attend, but have memories, images, or stories to share, about any of Hull’s energy heritage from whaling to wind, then please get in tough with the transects team at transects.orkney@uhi.ac.uk
