Earlier this year, Professors Jane Downes and Colin Richards were back in the South Pacific as part of an ongoing project to document endangered cultural heritage sites in the Cook Islands and Niue.
The UHI Archaeology Institute is one of the partners in the project, which saw the assessment and documentation of the islands’ key cultural heritage. The team also worked with the local communities to ensure the preservation of important information about these sites.
