Sound Walks Poster

As part of our ongoing From Peat Spade to Tangle Trade industrial heritage project, folk are welcome to join Dr Ben Elliott and artist Amy Beeston on our first Sound Walk, in Shapinsay, from 1.30pm-3.30pm on Saturday, October 12. Anyone interested should meet at the harbour beforehand.

The schedule for the other walks is:

  • Stronsay – Tuesday, October 15. 2pm-4pm (meet at pierhead).
  • North Ronaldsay – Friday, October 18. 10am – 12 noon (meet at new lighthouse).
  • Sanday – Saturday, October 26. 10am – 12 noon (meeting place to be confirmed).

All are welcome but so we can keep an eye on numbers, please book a free space by emailing enquiries.orca@uhi.ac.uk.

Participants should dress for the weather, although we have back-up indoor venues if conditions are too bad.
