Based on their award-winning Uist Virtual Archaeology ProjectUist Unearthed tells the story of 5,000 years of the area’s history through five key archaeological sites.

  • Cladh Hallan (Bronze Age)
  • Cill Donnain and Dùn Torcuill (Iron Age)
  • Bornais (Norse period)
  • Dùn an Sticir (Medieval)

The interactive book, which is published in October, also considers the importance of Gaelic language and culture in the interpretation and understanding of archaeological landscapes.
