As part of the Field Runologists’ Meeting, a group of international experts in runic inscriptions are visiting Orkney this week.
On Monday, they are inviting the public to come and hear about runic inscriptions in Orkney and elsewhere in a “Rune Relay”, where they will each make a five minute presentation of a favourite inscription.
All are welcome to stay and chat afterwards with the international runologists.
The free event, in the St Magnus Centre, Kirkwall, runs from 7.30 – 9.30pm on Monday, October 20.
