Dr Antonia Thomas is en route for Finland, where she is an invited speaker on a PhD course at the University of Oulu.
Antonia’s visit is part of an ongoing project Sacred Forests around Us, led by Tiina Äikäs, which brings together archaeologists, a folklorist and an artist to study the ritual meanings of forests throughout history.
The aim of the course is a multidisciplinary discussion with the title Art, playfulness & creativity: Collaborative ways to study landscape and place and Antonia will be talking about her work combining art and archaeology.
