An update on some of the achievements of graduates and students from the MA Contemporary Art and Archaeology (MA CAA) from programme leader Dr Antonia Thomas:
- Susan Pearson, MA CAA student, is an invited artist for the Society of Scottish Artists 127th Annual Exhibition, having been previously awarded the SSA Award for her piece Becoming Island at the 126th Annual Exhibition. Susan’s work is mentioned as a particular highlight in the exhibition outline.
- Recent graduate Lara Band has had a sound piece published in Ambient Receiver, the Journal of Creative Ecologies.
- Another recent graduate, Iain Davidson, has had a photo essay – Harry’s Wall: Whose Heritage is it Anyway? – published in the Journal of Contemporary Archaeology.
- Anna Charlotta Gardiner, who is currently studying on the MA and the recipient of the Outer Spaces Scotland Award – RSA New Contemporaries 2025, is undertaking a month-long residency in Aberdeen within the Outer Spaces studio network.
