Our colleagues at the Institute for Northern Studies UHI have a fully funded PhD studentship available looking at the cultural significance of drystone construction in Shetland and Orkney.

The PhD is in collaboration with Historic Environment Scotland and the successful applicant will ethnological/anthropological approaches to understand the ecosystem of drystone craft in the present day – its uptake, support, and significance within Scotland’s historic environment.

The deadline for applications is Wednesday, May 18, 2022.
