Programme of geophysics resumes in #Rousay, with talk on Friday evening. #Archaeology #ThinkUHI #UHIResearch

A project to survey swathes of Rousay is the subject of a talk in the island on Friday evening.

The first phase took place in 2018, and now a team of specialists from RGK are back in Rousay carrying out additional LiDAR drone surveys and additional magnetometry work.

The aim of the project is to investigate the relationship between Neolithic chambered cairns and settlements and the impact of sea-level rise in prehistory and coastal erosion.

The talk by Dr Knut Rassmann, in the Rousay school, begins at 7.30pm.
