The results of geophysical surveys carried out around the Contin parish church are the subject of a free public talk on Thursday evening.

For the Contin’s Hidden History project, a team from ORCA surveyed the area last month, investigating the potential for medieval and pre-medieval remains in the fields north and south of the Ross-shire kirk.

As part of the Highland Archaeology Festival, Dan Lee (ORCA) will be joined by UHI Archaeology Institute lecturers Dr James Moore and Dr Sarah Jane Gibbon in the Contin Community Hall on Thursday, October 5 to outline the geophysics results.

It will also be a great opportunity for residents to discuss further archaeological work in the Contin area and highlight any sites they’re particularly interested in.

The free talk runs from 7.30pm until 9pm. All welcome.
