Newcastle University is inviting applications for a four-year PhD studentship looking at historic landscape character and climate change adaptation: modelling impacts and opportunities.
The project will examine how cutting-edge methods could help use historic landscape characteristics to address risks associated with increasingly intense rainfall, focusing on soil erosion and flood risk.
The PhD is fully funded and the successful student will be based in the university’s School of History, Classics and Archaeology.
