Dr Antonia Thomas is one of the authors included in a new publication, The Routledge Handbook of Archaeology and Plastics.
The book investigates the archaeology of the contemporary world through the lens of its most distinguishing and problematic material – plastic. Although the material only became widely used in the 1950s, its legacy will persist for millennia.
Antonia’s chapter – Contemporary Art, Archaeology, and Plastics – is one of 32 in the book, exploring plastics from a number of different angles and perspectives.
