Jen and Holly among contributors to new Royal Society journal

Dr Jen Harland and PhD student Holly Young are among the contributors in a special issue of the Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society B.

UHI Archaeology Institute lecturer Dr Jen Harland and PhD student Holly Young are among the contributors to a special issue of the Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society B published today.

In Shifting Seas: Understanding human deep-time Impacts on marine ecosystems, Jen is a co-author of Investigating long-term trophic stability in North Atlantic cod (Gadus morhua) through nitrogen stable isotope analysis of amino acids, which includes fish remains from several of our excavation sites, including Skaill, Rousay, and Lerwick.

Jen is also co-author, along with Holly, of Shells of Littorina littorea (Gastropoda) — an archive for palaeoclimate and seasonal shellfish collection in medieval and early modern Orkney?
