A small team of diggers will return to the Ness of Brodgar in 2026, following a major programme of geophysical survey across the site.

Part of this saw Time Team’s John Gater and Mike Langton of Guideline Geo carry out a state-of-the-art Ground-Penetrating Radar (GPR) survey and the results threw up quite a few surprises. As a result, and with funding provided by Time Team, the plan is to open a small trench to investigate one particular anomaly!
