Professor Jane Downes, the director of the UHI Archaeology Institute, is one of the authors of a series of reports published by the CVI Africa project this week.

The international initiative, led by institutions in Africa and the United Kingdom, provided foundational training in vulnerability assessment to six African heritage professionals and applied the Climate Vulnerability Index (CVI) at two World Heritage properties: the Sukur Cultural Landscape in Nigeria and the Ruins of Kilwa Kisiwani and Ruins of Songo Mnara in Tanzania.
