Have you ever fancied getting involved in an archaeological dig? Now’s your chance.

Excavation at the Burn of Swartigill Iron Age site, in Caithness, resumes on August 14, and runs until September 8.

The project, a collaboration between the UHI Archaeology Institute and the Yarrows Heritage Trust, is now looking to hear from anyone interested in taking part.

Volunteers of all levels of experience are welcome, and should contact enquiries.orca@uhi.ac.uk or heritage@yarrowsheritagetrust.co.uk to find out how to get involved.
