We’ve been going through the archives again, this time adding pictures of the Rousay’s Knowe of Ramsay to the Tombs of the Isles listing.

The Ramsay cairn was excavated by William Grant and James Callander in 1935 , with photographs taken by the Edinburgh surveyor and draughtsman David Wilson.

Prints of these photographs in the Orkney Sites and Monuments Record have recently been digitised and we are gradually adding to the relevant entries of the Tombs of the Isles section.
