Archaeology Scotland Cover

The magazine, which is published three times a year for members of Archaeology Scotland, features three articles from institute staff and students.

The zooarchaeological element on the LIFTE project is the subject of a joint article by lecturers Dr Jen Harland and Dr Julia Cussans, while PhD candidate Holly Young looks at Shell assemblages in Archaeology.

Kath Page outlines her PhD research into prehistoric Scottish red deer remains in Social zooarchaeology: understanding the past to inform the future.

Other articles in the issue include Neolithic Scottish dogs: some recent and current research by Dr Alison Sheridan and Of mice and men: evolution, people and (Orcadian) mice by Dr Andrzej Romaniuk.

We’d be delighted to hear from anyone considering a self-funded MRes or PhD. Our research themes and topics are outlined here and if any of those are of interest, contact Professor Jane Downes for more information.
