Rowan Ormiston, who has just completed the MA Contemporary Art and Archaeology will be exhibiting at the New Glasgow Society as part of the Q Canvas collective.

Behind Closed Doors is Q Canvas’ third exhibition at the New Glasgow Society. It invites visitors to peer behind the curtain, through the letterbox, behind the door and into our artist’s spaces. Into their places of comfort and discomfort, whether it be confessional booths, the humble home computer, or their own brains and beds.
Rowan’s work takes an interdisciplinary approach to art through archaeological thinking. In looking to the past to inform the future, they explore folkloric narratives and figures from Scotland, particularly in relation to environment and gender.
The exhibition, in Argyle Street, Glasgow, opens at 6pm on Friday, May 29, then runs from Saturday, May 30, until Tuesday, June 2. Open from noon-6pm.
