UHI Archaeology Institute PhD student Cameron Taylor is currently the Scottish Graduate School for Arts & Humanities (SGSAH) featured researcher.

Cameron’s thesis, Neolithic Narratives: examining storytelling methodologies, tools, and technologies for enriching visitor engagement with prehistory, explores the intersection of archaeology, tourism and storytelling and the ways in which stories can be told to achieve sustainable cultural, social, and economic benefits.
Prior to doctoral study, Cameron spent 25 years in the tourism and heritage sector, where he developed a strong interest in how the results of archaeological research can be communicated most effectively to visitors.
As part of Cameron’s research, he is currently running a survey to gather the information needs and preferences of visitors to Neolithic heritage sites in Orkney. Click here for more details.
